X-47B Operations from the USS H. W. Bush (CVN-77)

Wow! It's really been since last October that I posted? Tempus Fugit. On to the post... This month the US Navy successfully launched the X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System (UCAS) demonstrator from the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77). George H.W. Bush is the first carrier to successfully catapult launch an unmanned aircraft from its flight deck. This was followed up by touch and go trials. This is both a great technological feat and a potentially foreboding one for the future of manned aircraft.
